White-coloured Filling

Dental fillings or restorations are used to repair tooth structure defects caused by dental decay/cavities or to restore broken chipped teeth.

This procedure involves removing the decayed portion of your tooth and replacing it with a restorative material. Traditionally, silver-coloured amalgam were commonly used, however, with advancement in dental aesthetic technologies, tooth-coloured fillings are now becoming the material of choice.

There are several types of tooth-coloured materials, including composite resin, glass ionomers, or a mixture of these two materials. All of these white-coloured fillings have their pros and cons, and generally are very predictable and durable.
